Weather: Good Mood: Excellent
Was supposed to take a walk to the pasar malam when I saw the blinking lights here and there with some heavy machinery type of games sounds and some songs played. Owh, it’s a FUNFAIR! Looking back through my teenage time till now, its been more than 10 years the last time I visited the FunFair. How does this words clicked with you?
I was staying in Ampang last time, like long long time when I first moved to KL from Seremban. There’s an empty space a big ones just 2mins walking distance from my old home and they always had these FunFair being setup and operated for at least a month there. Not only that it lasted for a month, I’ve been visiting like at least 3-5 times during their operating period.
The Ferris Wheel, unlike what we have now in Genting Highlands, Sunway Lagoon and many other theme park in Malaysia this seems to be small in size but as you can see clearly in the pictures kids are still enjoying the ride.
It was some sort of fun and sweet memories that I remembered now, having to played and won goodies from the games. We walk around the FunFair now located at Sri Gombak Batu Caves and its seems to me some games were still in play while the rest is quite modernized. Long time ago we do not have Spongebob nor Angry Bird and now they do obviously. LOLX
I still sees a lot of kids and even adults enjoying themselves. A few games that makes me feel I’m young again cuz that was the most I’d played during my young and teenage years and now that it still existed. There’s also a game call BINGO which I think most of us are familiar with too. It had been a hit sometime ago and while I was there, there were two people whom got BINGO and they had to roll the ball to see who’s getting the big prize. The one who rolled the biggest number wins.
See this big bear sitting at the corner of this game stall. It’s where you will have to throw the ring and it goes into the bottle mouth of the blue colour and you will get it. Hehe..not sure how many times you will have to try and try and try to throw it in. Currently each game for 3 rings were RM4 where as last time during my time was RM2 for 5 rings.
Though is slightly outdated from the high tech theme park we had, kids are still enjoying themselves. I hope by the time I have my own kids this type of FunFair still exists and for I’ll be able to bring my kids to such FunFairs too.
