Are you fans of bling bling stuffs? Bling-bling items were in trend for the current moment especially for Iphone owners and of course its a girly stuffs. There were some revolutions in terms of the bling-bling case version. First its kinda plain where some ppl stick on the rhinestone one by one and there were also a kind where it comes in as a sticker with ready designs and colors of your choice.
Then there’s this 3D type version of bling bling case which were sold in the market and the its kinda pricey. It may goes up to RM399. Yes, you heard me right RM399 as you will be paying for the cost of the tools, the skill and artwork plus the rental they are paying setting up these stalls in shopping centre.
Was accompanying my fren to Sg. Wang Plaza during the weekend looking for bling bling phone case for her new Iphone 4s. Even a plain one would have cost about RM90 after a 30% discounts. Alas, she settle for a very very simple one for RM60 after some bargaining. I think the 3D type were quite too bulky for me and its too expensive.
The other reason for I have to DIY on my own is due I’m currently using HTC Sensation and would hardly come across nice casing and the percentage of getting a bling bling case were close to 0%. I had previously promised my buddy to make her a bling bling case for her Iphone 4 and it took me quite sometime to finally have the urge and mood to do her the case.
We went and bought an empty plain case in Mid Valley and using the tools I had I started to sat in front of the TV just yesterday night at about 10.30pm. While streaming my HK TVB drama I”ve begin with the Hello Kitty 3D Bling Bling case project. It took me quite a short time to complete. Total hours spent were about 4 hours. Yeah, I slept at about 2am this morning and I’m sleepy while I was posting this up.
Started with the background to test the colors and the mode first and then I’ve started on the resin Hello Kitty head shape with lots of AB Clear Rhinestones. AB means it turns out to be colorful on a different point of view. Just like human, we look into different perspective and point of view in case and sometimes you will see rainbow colors and sometime were just plain.
Took me around 1.5 hour to get the Hello Kitty and I was already yawning but I wish to have it done by this two days as the Christmas and my Big Day is getting nearer. I might not be able to finish if I dun. So, with the determination I’d finally done with the whole casing in 4 hours.
Was so anxious this morning to have present it to Karen and surprisingly it doesn’t fit her phone. Maybe the casing is sort of the cheap one so it doesn’t fit perfectly. Was kinda ‘pek chek’ at first but then I’ve come out with another idea without having to redo the whole thing.
And this is how it looks like now, need to get another fitting casing and stick on the whole thing onto the back. Hehe..so it became something like a whole piece of stickers. Now what do you think of my artwork, eh? Bling-bling phone case anyone? I’m sure I’m gonna do better with more practice. Need to get my phone a new home coming this CNY I hope.
